It's a beautiful day; It's currently 75 degrees, (24C for you folks who aren't in the US) sunny, and breezy. I have my three cats lying at my feet, alternately hoping for head scratches and/or treats. My living room is drenched with afternoon light, and a cool breeze is blowing through, as I'm curled up here on the sofa, writing. I've got a lovely cup of 'Blueberry Chocolate Sin' coffee by my side. And since my move to a rural area in Southeastern PA, there's no traffic noise. Instead, I hear birdsong, and the frogs in the pond. An occasional train in the distance. I'm content, but still have a quandary.
I'm completely torn which chapter/story from The Magic Around Us to post up here for the promised sneak preview. I've been waffling on it for well over an hour as I suck down coffee like a vampire jonesing for a bloody snack.
There are two stories that start off book 2 in the series:
"Lights Out!" and "A Cat's Tale 4: Human Cat Toys."
Between these two stories, they set the scene for ALL the other stories; not only in this book, but also in The Power Within Us. In fact, I'm still debating on which story should go FIRST in the book. While either story stands alone - each adds more meaning to the other. Now I get to figure out which one goes first gives the best context to the rest of the stories.
I've decided I'm going to post them both. You can choose for yourself which to read first. If I had to post a 'hint' about the stories to help you better choose, Lights Out! sets up who the good guys/protagonists will be. Human Cat Toys sets up who the bad guys/antagonists might be. White hats first, or black hats first? Your choice! I hope you enjoy them!

In other news from Ellie-land, I'm currently working on setting up a mailing list, so I can send all you lovely folks updates on book progress, freebies (yeah, I said freebies), as well as links and updates to the YouTube channel/podcast my sister Amelia and I are figuring out. ALSO....Last but not least: I'm looking for ten beta-readers. For this, you get a numbered pdf version of the book, pre-release. I'm looking for reactions (love/hate), things that don't make sense to you, misspellings, and inconsistencies. S**t happens, and when you're writing two books at the same time, you find out s**t MULTIPLIES, too, lol!
